The House of Spice Event co. llc. is a full-service event company specializing in large detail oriented corporate and social events from 50 to 20,000 guests. We service Orange, Los Angeles and San Diego counties along with the inland empire.

CANCELLATIONS, GUARANTEES AND OTHER POLICIES
Guest Count: Your event is based on a minimum guest count. Any reductions in guest count might necessitate an increase in the per person cost. In order to operate your event efficiently, we will need to have the guest count by 5 (five) working days prior to the event. At that time your guest count may increase but not decrease. Cancellations may not be made at this time.

PAYMENT IS EXPECTED UPON DELIVERY UNLESS OTHER PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE.

Not included on most menus - 18% - 35% Service Fee: A 18% - 35% Industry Standard Service Fee will be applied to all food and beverage items only, labor and other services excluded. Service Fee includes workers compensation, insurance, documentation preparation and coordination. How does it work? We take the cost of all food and beverage items, excluding labor, rentals, etc. and apply a 15 - 22% Service Charge to that number.

THE FOLLOWING IS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW CATERING LABOR "MIGHT" BE CALCULATED.
Note: This is a very tough thing to do without reviewing your exact event, however it may help you get some general ideas for budgeting. FOR EXAMPLE, difficult or easy load ins may affect these numbers AS WILL the timing of your event OR where it is located, etc. THIS IS PROVIDED AS AN EXAMPLE ONLY.
Average Job: 2 hours set up, 4 hours service, 1.5 hours clean up: 7.5 Hours
Service Staff: $0.00(Call for Pricing) Per Staff Person, Per Hour
Buffet (without China) allow 1 Service Staff to every 50 people
Buffet (with China) allow 1 Service Staff to every 40 people
Sit Down (depending on time constraints) allow 1 Service Staff to every 30 people
* Scullery (clean-up - dish duty - if China is used) up to 200 guest allow 1 person, 200+ allow 2 or more as needed.

Buffet up to 200 people: 1 Chef
Buffet 200 - 400 people: 2 to 3 Chefs
Buffet 400 - 600 people: 3 to 4 Chefs
Sit Down - 5 Chefs for every 200 people (depending on time constraints)
Supervisor/Captain: $0.00(Call for Pricing) Per Supervisor/Captain, Per Hour
Up to 300 Guest: 1 Supervisor/Captain
300+: 2 Supervisors or 1 Supervisor and 1 Captain
